“That shooting gave me an appetite. Somebody pass the emergency food rations." Morats are coming! The release of the Morat Aggression Pack, the new Morat Sectorial Starter Pack, is an opportunity to release not only a compilation box, but one composed of totally new and re-sculpted models! And that is only the beginning of a new era for these aggressive alien soldiers! Morat Color Patterns An important part of the re-design process of the Morats was to develop new and distinctive color patterns, not only for the troops of the Sectorial Starter Pack, but also for future Morat releases. These new color schemes will help to visually unify all the different Morat troops, providing the feeling of an organized army. With a long military tradition, Morats have faced numerous wars and confrontations. Each campaign in Morat history had its own color scheme for the different units deployed in it, but there are some recurrent ones, due to their effectiveness or to sentimental bonds with past glories. This color scheme was used by Morat forces during the Miotnas insurrection. The off-white color of this pattern could be considered a high visibility scheme, but, in fact, it merged the Morats with the landscape of the limestone deserts and the Tekiramis mountain range where the most of the action took place. Dark Superiority Pattern Black is highly suitable for urban combat and night actions. However, apart from the tactical advantages this color provides, it is well-known by Morats that the menacing black color has a deep psychological effect on their adversaries. For those reasons this is the most common color scheme in the Morat Aggression Forces when engaged in invasion deployments, as it reinforces the intimidating presence of the Morats. Tarlok Hunting Pattern A historical color scheme in keeping with Morat military tradition. This pattern was used by forces under the command of the famous War Marshal Tarlok in the Great Battle of the Kartrome Forest, the military action that broke the army of the Wondal Empire, and marked the beginning of Morat interstellar dominion. The Tarlok Hunting Pattern was used again during the Flash Wars and it has seen use on the Septentria Front as it proved to be very effective while performing raids in rocky woodland areas. |
