Forsaken Lore is an expansion for Eldritch Horror that thrusts investigators headlong into a new series of strange and perilous encounters. Forsaken Lore introduces over two-hundred new cards, including two new conditions, and nearly one-hundred-and-fifty new, globe-spanning encounters. Use new Research cards to solve new Ancient One-specific Mysteries, and fight to save the world from Yig, who joins the game as the newest Ancient One to threaten the globe.

~ Unravel New Mysteries ~

Forsaken Lore adds brand-new Mysteries for each Ancient One for Investigators to unravel. You may need to battle a new Epic Monster in order to solve the Shub-Niggurath’s Blasphemy of the Black Gate mystery, or use the mysterious Artifact, Maasa di Requiem per Shuggay, to discover the Voice of Azathoth. Perhaps you’ll even need to travel to the Void Between Worlds as you work to defeat Yog-Sothoth. With new Mysteries for each Ancient One in the game, Investigators will face new challenges no matter which unfathomable evil they are racing to defeat. In order to solve these new Mysteries, Investigators will need to delve deeper into the lore surrounding each Ancient One, and Forsaken Lore adds eighty-eight new Research cards, brimming with strange and forbidden secrets for your investigators to uncover.

~ Battle the Father of Serpents ~

In Forsaken Lore, the Ancient One Yig threatens to dominate the earth. As his cultists and Serpent People, work to make the world ready for his coming, only the few, courageous investigators of Eldritch Horror stand in their way - but these new foes are vicious and venomous! Accordingly, Forsaken Lore introduces a host of brutal, new Epic Monsters, such as the Winged Serpent and the Children of Yig, and Investigators must defeat Yig’s serpents, along with their poisonous bites. The new Poisoned condition punishes Investigators who threaten Yig’s children, causing debilitating effects to both body and mind.

These effects aren’t limited to those locations where you might expect to find snakes, either, so Investigators must tread carefully. Yig’s serpents have slithered their way to the farthest reaches of the globe. Even as Investigators must be wary of poison, Yig’s Serpent People make terrible use of a horrible new Artifact. The Serpent Crown can dominate the wills of those who oppose Yig’s cause. You may need to break the hold of this archaic artifact before it's too late to solve the Crown of the Serpent mystery. Or perhaps you’ll need to examine expedition sites around the globe, piecing together the clues that you find to solve the Migration of Serpents mystery. With six unique Mysteries and fierce Epic Monsters, Yig will prove a challenging adversary to even the most courageous and cunning of Investigators.

~ Discover Dangerous, New Encounters ~

Now, more than ever before, Investigators will need to rely on each other – and the other resources at their disposal – to have any hope of saving humanity from destruction. As Yig’s cultists and serpents work to bring Yig into our world, locations across the globe steadily fall under the Ancient One’s sway. Forsaken Lore adds nearly one-hundred-and-fifty new Encounter cards, so even the most seasoned Investigators will discover formidable new challenges.

Meanwhile, gates to Other Worlds have continued to amass arcane energies, and serve as portals for other powerful and unseen forces. Investigators traveling through these portals to seal the rifts into our world must be careful in their ventures, or they may find themselves Lost in Time and Space. This new condition makes travel to Other Worlds risky, but with the fate of the world at stake, Investigators will need to summon all of their courage to have any chance of survival. New Expeditions offer the opportunity for Investigators to gain mighty, new Artifacts to use against the Ancient Ones, such as the Elixir of Life. Strange new Spells like Healing Words and Poison Mist will also prove useful in the battle against evil, as will powerful Assets like Tear Gas or the Mystic Bounty Hunter.
