Alliance is proud to announce that it has come to an agreement with Dream Pod 9 to reintroduce their flagship miniatures game, Heavy Gear Blitz, to the US retail market.
The Hallmarks of Heavy Gear Blitz (HBG) are anime-style giant robot miniatures, with a fast-paced tactical, objective-based game play. The main Locked & Loaded Rulebook provides a solid army construction system that allows players to field combined-arms forces, featuring Infantry, Tanks, Striders, and anthropomorphic combat robots called Gears, all the tools necessary to master the 62nd century battlefield. In addition, our new Field Manual (Core Rulebook Companion) takes the game to the next level, with rules updates and easy-to-reference rules flowcharts.
For beginning players, a low-cost Two Player Starter Kit provides an excellent choice to learn the rules as well as providing both players a starting point for building either a Northern or Southern Faction Army. Players can easily complete the sub-squads from the Starter Kit with the purchase of a Hunter or Jager Two Pack blister, which includes two Gear miniatures and optional weapons. New players can also opt to jump into the game with one of three Starter Army Boxes for either the Northern, Southern, or Peace River Factions. Each Starter Army set contains two full combat groups of miniatures along with extra weapon options. Both the Starter Kit and the Army Boxes include small b&w versions of the HGB Locked & Loaded and Field Manual books, four D6 dice, and a measuring tape.
