Call of Cthulhu: Horror on the Orient Express

An odd summons, a surreptitious meeting, and a thousand-mile journey begins on the legendary service carrying the investigators to the Gateway of the Orient. Horror on the Orient Express contains nineteen adventures of a massive, legendary campaign for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game. Beginning in 1920s London, the investigators journey to Paris and thence to the ancient city of Constantinople. With luck, they also return home.

Optional episodes are set in ancient times or special places (Roman-era, Dark Ages, Gaslight-era, the Dreamlands), so that the players can experience the founding, creation, and discovery of crucial elements of this campaign. Also included is a modern-day coda to the storyline, an alternate ending for those wishing a shorter campaign, and a built-in survival guide to aid beleaguered investigators.

Call of Cthulhu: Madness on the Orient Express

Trains embody the promise and peril of technological advance. They unlock opportunities for wealth and travel, but also create incredible chaos - uprooting populations and blighting landscapes. Work on or around the rails leads to unwelcome discoveries and, in light of the Mythos, dire implications in the spread of the rail system as a whole. A certain path to uncovering unwelcome truths about the universe is to venture beyond our own placid island of ignorance and encounter foreign cultures.

The Orient Express serves as the perfect vehicle for such excursions, designed as a bridge between West and East. Movement into mystery forms the central action for the 16 Lovecraftian Tales in this volume - but madness and murder will be the least of your problems on this trip aboard the Orient Express!
