GTM #163 - Marvel HeroClix: The Invincible Iron Man
by WizKids Games/NECA

This fall stores everywhere will provide an all-access pass to Stark Resilient and Tony Stark’s workshop as WizKids Games/NECA releases their latest expansion for Marvel HeroClix, The Invincible Iron Man! Spotlighting the armored Avenger as never before, The Invincible Iron Man features over 60 new HeroClix figures to add to your collection, with many characters appearing for the first time ever!

While Marvel HeroClix: The Invincible Iron Man certainly emphasizes its titular hero, there is plenty of room left over for a wide array of other characters like Iron Man’s allies War Machine, Rescue, and Alpha Flight. Iron Man, himself, is represented by several of his armors worn throughout his career (and even some armor designs from alternate realities!)

Some of Iron Man’s most fearsome foes are represented as well; villains such as the Melter, Iron Monger, the Mandarin, and the Wrecking Crew are all on-hand to bring the fight to Iron Man!

Marvel HeroClix: The Invincible Iron Man will also feature the winning character from the 2012 Marvel HeroClix Fan-Vote! The intergalactic bounty hunter, uhr - excuse us, freelance peacekeeping agent, Death’s Head, will be included in The Invincible Iron Man for all of his fans’ enjoyment (and to Iron Man’s chagrin, if recent issues of his monthly Marvel Comic are any indicator).

Marvel HeroClix: The Invincible Iron Man will also give fans the opportunity to collect the Rings of the Mandarin and wield the Mandarin’s might for their own noble (or nefarious!) purposes! The Rings of the Mandarin each grant powers as their names’ imply. For example, the Ice Blast Ring grants Barrier and Incapacitate as its wielder freezes the air around his victim, while the Vortex Beam Ring grants its wielder the powers of Flight and Telekinesis!

Randomly inserted into five-figure boosters, the Rings of the Mandarin are fully playable 3D special objects for use in HeroClix. When used individually, they are treated as 3D special objects, but combined with the Power Plant display from The Invincible Iron Man Organized Play kit, ALL of the Rings of the Mandarin can be added to your HeroClix force for MAXIMUM Mandarin-styled mayhem!

Another exciting element of Marvel HeroClix: The Invincible Iron Man is the introduction of Improved Targeting into Marvel HeroClix. Improved Targeting enables characters to make ranged attacks in new and exciting ways, such as allowing HeroClix figures to ignore obstacles in their path or even blast through walls and other obstructions!

Marvel HeroClix: The Invincible Iron Man is available this November in bricks of ten standard five-figure boosters and a 10-figure microset available in a 24-count gravity feed display, as well as an Organized Play kit capable of supporting several weeks of in-store play!

So armor up and choose your HeroClix force, because The Invincible Iron Man is soaring into stores everywhere for Fall 2013!
